Jenn:
Christina Lauren have done it again. They created another story where I became completely invested in its characters and in what happens to them. I had a blast reading this book and found myself laughing at the situation Ruby and Niall would get themselves into. Ruby reminded me of Hanna from Beautiful Player with her honesty and by how straightforward she is. I loved getting to know her and Niall. Niall is different from Max and the other heroes Christina Lauren have written. Niall is unsure of himself and Ruby is the one who manage to seek him out. While I enjoyed getting to know Niall, I must confess that Will and Max remain as my favorite heroes from the Beautiful series.

I'm very fond of Christina Lauren and their books. I've read the majority of their books and I don't see myself stopping. They write realistic and well-developed characters and very swoony heroes. Go read this book.

Nahomi:
True to form Christina Lauren deliver another great story in Beautiful Secret. This story is one of the funniest of all of the their books. Ruby is hilarious! There were so many moments I found myself laughing out loud. Not only is she funny, Ruby is also intelligent, strong and isn't afraid to speak her mind. I enjoyed getting to know Ruby and Niall, although Niall is not my cup of tea. Unlike their other leading men Niall is very unsure of himself (he has his reasons). I found his internal monologue to be exhausting at times, because he tends to overthink everything.

With the exception of Niall's over thinking, I found the story to be very enjoyable. I loved the setting and how the plot developed. Christina Lauren does a phenomenal job of creating stories and characters and are engaging fun to read.

JASOOOOONNNN. Sigh. Jason Jason Jason. This book is SO good. I think it might even be my favorite from Brighton's work and Jason is a big part of it. I've always been a fan of Brighton's but she certainly blew me away with Tessa Ever After.

Tessa Ever After is a companion to Caged in Winter and it picks up a few months from where CiW left us. Tessa, Cade's younger sister, is a single mom and after having Cade always around, is now juggling to keep everything going smoothly. She feels like a big failure since she has been, repeatedly, late in picking up her daughter, Haley, and having trouble attending to little surprises at home. Thankfully, Jason, Cade's best friend, is around to help her after Cade asked him to keep an eye on Tessa. Of course, what happens next is how neither of them were planning on falling for the other.

I loved all the characters in this book. Brighton always manage to create characters so real that you can just picture them in real life. Tessa is such a great character and I just loved being in her head. There were so many times where insecurities and fears came up but it never felt overboard or wrong for her to have them. In fact, I felt all of her emotions at the same time she did. Haley is the cutest thing ever and I'm definitely in love with her. It also help that my niece is named Haley as well and I can just picture being just like Haley in the book. Paige, Tessa's best friend, oh my gosh, I love her and her straight up honesty. She is such a good balance for Tessa and I just hope that we can get a book on her.

Now, about Jason. JASONNNNN. Oh God. What can I say about Jason? Um....well, he's a hot, sweet, swoony, and a dirty talker and he know how good he is. That's not to say he is not serious or real. He has his reasons for being a playboy but despite that, he is aware of everything he needs to do. Once he realized that he might have feelings for Tessa, he knew he just couldn't mess around with her considering he is Cade's best friend and how attached he is to Haley. He also knew he couldn't just push Tessa and when to give her her space. So even though he is a cocky playboy, he has the perfect balance when to push and when to be serious. He is definitely my favorite from Brighton's heroes.

Tessa Ever After was such a quick read and I devoured it in a couple of days. It probably would have been even faster if I didn't have that pesky issue of work/school/wedding planning to deal with. Brighton Walsh has done it again and given us a great story, sexy times, laughter, and character development. I've said this before but I'll say it again, I'll read anything Brighton writes and this book proves why I'll do so. So go forth and read this!

I threw the game. Despite my daughter wanting me to win—for girls everywhere, she said—I couldn’t. I feigned exhaustion, letting my body slump to the ground. Because my blood was boiling, my body on fire as I pressed against Jason’s body during a stupid game of Twister, and I couldn’t take it anymore. If Haley hadn’t been in the room, I would’ve pulled Jason down on top of me and let him strip me down right there on that stupid plastic mat. In reality, I had a four-year-old to attend to instead of doing everything I wanted to.

In the thirty minutes since putting Haley to bed, my urgency has faded, leaving behind only a subtle hum under my skin, but it’s there. This vibration of need when Jason is around that I never bothered to notice before. Or that I willingly ignored, which is probably more the case.

Despite that, despite wanting him, I’m in the bathroom under the guise of freshening up, even though I showered just a couple hours ago. I’m stalling, and I don’t know why. Haley’s asleep, Jason’s in the living room, presumably waiting for me, and I’m hiding in the bathroom.

Several minutes go by before a soft knock sounds at the door, sending me jumping nearly a foot in the air.

“Yeah . . .” I try to say, except my voice comes out all scratchy and breathless, so I clear my throat and try again. “Yeah?”

“Do you want me to just go home, Tess?”

“What?” I whip the door open, eyes wide and frantic, because that is absolutely not what I want. Not even a little bit. Leaning his shoulder against the doorjamb, Jason’s eyes snap to mine as soon as the layer of wood isn’t separating us anymore, and in that split second when our eyes meet, the heat between us cracks and sizzles just like it did while we were playing the game. Just like it’s been doing anytime we’re within twenty feet of each other. Shaking my head, I say, “No. I don’t want you to go home.”

His eyebrows lift up on his forehead, his expression one that clearly says he thinks I’m full of it.

“You sure? Because you’ve been hiding in here for ten minutes.”

I open my mouth to argue with him about the hiding bit, but there’s no use. Instead, I simply nod and swallow, not sure I can find the words to tell him exactly what’s going on with me.

Mostly because I don’t even know myself.

It’s not like I’m a virgin, and even though it has been a while, I’ve never gotten like this with any of my previous partners. Never had this overwhelming nervousness, and I don’t know where it’s coming from. No idea why there’s this swarm of bees buzzing around in my stomach. Why I’m all breathless with anticipation and anxiety.

But then Jason steps forward, right into my space, one hand coming up and cupping the back of my neck while the other goes to my hip, his thumb slipping under the material of my shirt to graze the skin above my waistband, and I know exactly why there’s a tornado in my belly.

“Last chance,” he murmurs, his breath washing over my lips, and I don’t think I could tell him to stop even if I wanted to.

But I don’t. I don’t want to, so I shake my head, and finally—finally—he closes the distance between us and puts his lips to mine. The kiss is tentative at first, a question, and even though he gave me an out just a moment ago, I love that he’s not pushing it. When I don’t pull away, don’t do anything but grip the front of his shirt in my fists and pull him closer to me, he takes that as an answer and swipes his tongue across my lips. On a moan, I open to him, desperate to taste him again in a way I didn’t allow myself to think about before now.

Jason’s grip on me tightens, his thumb rubbing in circles against the pulse point at my neck, and I know he can feel my heart flying. It’s nearly pounding right out of my rib cage. His other hand curls around my hip, pulling me closer to him, flush with him, and I can’t stop from gasping into his mouth. He’s against me, all of him, strong and solid and hard, and I didn’t realize how much I wanted this until this very moment.

He’s already good at reading my cues, because no more have I thought it than we’re walking, fumbling down the hallway and into my bedroom. The door isn’t even closed before I start tugging up his shirt, desperate to feel his skin against mine. With a grunt and a curse, he reaches back and yanks his shirt over his head before his lips are back on mine, his tongue sliding against my own, and I can hardly breathe I want this so badly.

In the dozen-plus years of his being in my life, I’ve seen him without a shirt on too many times to count, but I’ve never felt his bare skin. Not like this. He’s sinewy and muscular, the body of a runner, all tall and lanky, the muscles in his abdomen defined but not obscene, his biceps cut but not bulky. I run my hands over every part of him I can reach, sliding from his chest to his stomach, following the trail of hair down then hooking into the waistband of his jeans, and I want those off, too.

“Jesus, Tess,” he groans into my mouth, and the roughness of it washes over me like a warm rain, comforting me in a way I didn’t realize I needed. He wants this. Me. Desperately. It’s reassuring to know I’m not in this on my own.

His lips brush across my cheek, his teeth nipping at my chin, his tongue licking a line up the column of my neck, and I think I might die right here. I might actually die, because my heart feels like the pounding hooves of a thousand horses, and I can’t seem to get my clothes off fast enough.

I am a huge fan of Cora Carmack's work! I really enjoyed reading All Broke Down. I love the chemistry between Dylan and Silas! I love how they are both discovering who they are.

I'm not sure how to properly talk about this book without flailing so just bear with me if I tend to go off in a fangirl, rambling mess. But just know that it is because I absolutely LOVED this book. A Court of Thorns and Roses has been a such a hyped up read for me because Sarah J. Maas is the queen of fantasy for me. After falling in love with her Throne of Glass series, I knew that this book would be nothing less of completely captivating world, well-written characters and I'm very glad to report that it did live up to my high expectations.

A Court of Thorns and Roses follow Feyre, a young woman who has had to take care of her family by hunting and doing many dangerous things to survive. After killing a wolf during one of her hunting trips, she is tracked home by a creature that she's been warned about. She is taken as punishment by the creature and what follows is nothing what Feyre is prepared for.

This story, you guys. OHMYGOD THIS BOOK. It is SO good and I just loved every page of it. I love being in Feyre's head. Tamlin, oh my. I just loved him and all of his beast-like self. He is just a perfect mix of strong/sweet/capable/caring man/fae. Lucien is the best character because he is not only the comedic relief, he is the best of friend to Tamlin but also to Feyre as well. All the characters, even the one I hated, were so well done and developed. I'm not sure how Sarah does it, but I become attached to all of her characters and the world she writes. The world she a wrote for us is so vivid and full of back story that it feels like a real world.

The book left me feeling happy and satisfied but intrigued for the next book in the series. I can't wait to see how the story continue to develop and where Sarah takes these beloved characters of mine. However, I trust that whatever Sarah J. Maas does, her books will be good regardless.

All the Rage follows the story of Romy and the aftermath of being branded a liar by everyone in town. She is bullied in school and most of the scenes in school just breaks my heart. The way she is treated and the way she deals with it, I'm not sure how I would deal with it. All I know is that being in Romy's head made me feel everything that Courtney Summers wanted her readers to feel: Romy's hurt, her anger, her helplessness, her confusion. But also her drive to just put one feet in front of the other and get through each day alive. Romy's hope is to one day escape her hell, which is her small town, and as a reader, I just wish and hope she does.

The title of this book says it all. I felt All the Rage while reading this book. I felt sick to my stomach reading about Romy's treatment and knowing that other girls have it infinitely worse than what was portrayed. Courtney Summers wanted to give a realistic view into how young women are shunned and silenced and she did it with this book. My only hope is for more people to read it and hopefully gain a new perspective on how not to treat victims of rape and to learn a little bit more compassion.

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

This is absolutely one of my favorite books! It's a must read. Fall With Me has everything I love in a story, a good plot, great characters, and really HOTT guy. Definitely check it out.

When she’s not hard at work writing. she spends her time reading, working out, watching bad zombie movies, pretending to write, and hanging out with her husband and your Jack Russell Loki.

Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class, where she spent most of her time writing short stories….which explains her dismal grades in math. Jennifer writes young adult paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She is published with Spencer Hill Press, Entangled Teen and Brazen, Disney/Hyperion and Harlequin Teen. Her book Obsidian has been optioned for a major motion picture and her Covenant Series has been optioned for TV.

She also writes adult and New Adult romance under the name J. Lynn. She is published by Entangled Brazen and HarperCollins.
