I've been a fan of this series ever since the first book, Confessions of an Angry Girl, came out. So I was over the moon when the third book was announced. No More Confessions followed the story a few months after where the second book left us and just like the previous books, we are left wondering what is happening and why is Jaime Forta not talking to us, meaning Rose of course.

No More Confessions is a bit different from the previous books. It is interesting in seeing Rose during her Junior year compared to her Freshman year because you can see how much growth she has gone through. It is especially obvious in her relationship with her mother and with Jaime. The Rose in this book is stronger in the sense that she knows what she wants and is willing to go for it. However, when it comes to Jaime Forta, her weakness, she allows for him to derail her from her thoughts and plans. The good thing about that situation is that Jaime Forta is really good guy and even though he is a man with a few words, we know he cares about Rose and she is also his weakness. In No More Confessions, he lets Rose set the pace and goes along with her ideas even if he doesn't believe in himself.

All the previous books deals with hard topic, such as Rose's father death in Iraq, teenage bullying and drinking, this book is just the same. However, this time, it feels all the more real. When we meet Rose in the first book, she is dealing with the repercussions of her father's death but we don't see it in initial stages, This time around, we're seeing trouble right from the beginning and it definitely and eye opener for Rose. Unlike the Rose in the previous books, she is unwilling to step in for fear of overstepping her bounds and for fear that it may be true. For me, it felt like it was really different Rose because the Rose I had met in book one would have stepped in, especially because it is someone she loves. I can't blame her though because at the end of the day there wasn't much she could have done to stop Jaime.

The ending left me feeling hopeful and I can hope that maybe we'll get another book or maybe a short story on what happens in the future. Rose did so much growing up throughout the series and she is one of my favorite female characters. If you haven't already read this series, I truly recommend that you do. Give the first book a try and you'll see what I'm talking about.

This book is absolute perfection. It has swoons, some funny bits, and it has Charlie Hanson. Charlie is just the cutest, nerdy boy and I just love him. I love that this book is in a male POV and how well done it is. Sometimes, a woman is writing a guy voice sounds like a woman and vice versa, but this book? I forgot it was written by a woman.

Love and Other Unknown Variables follows Charlie as he navigates senior year with his best friends, Greta and James. On his first day of school, he meets Charlotte Finch. During their meeting, he recounts his past interactions with other girls, which were rather unsuccessful, and it was during that scene that I fell for him. He is an absolute sweetheart, but also very funny and real. Although he's obsessed with math, he comes to realize that the world of poetry, Shakespeare and literature isn't so bad after all.

I love all the characters that we were introduced to: Charlotte, Becca (Charlie's younger sister), Greta, James, and especially Mrs. Dunwitty. They all played a role in helping Charlie's story move along. Each character had an impact on Charlie and it was so amazing to see how he changed but stayed the same nerdy Charlie that I came to love.

I really loved this book. The story, the characters, the ending, everything. Charlie's voice is so clear and easy to just get into. I would love to see how his story continues. Ms. Alexander did a wonderful job in creating a heartfelt story with characters that I can easily see being friends with. I'm extremely happy to learn that Ms. Alexander will be writing a new book based on Becca. I'm curious to see how her story plays out, especially after the ending.

I can't wait to go out and buy my finish copy and I hope everyone does as well. This is one book you won't want to miss out on.

“Okay. All right. This can be managed. It can. I can manage this,” says Haley. “This is entirely under my control. I can own this situation.”

“I don’t need to be managed.”

Haley tosses me an are-you-for-real gaze and her hair tumbles over her shoulder. It’s shiny and I bet if I ran my fingers through it, the strands would feel like silk. I like hair like that. I like kissing girls who have hair like that. My eyes flash to her lips and the memory of her stepping into me on Friday night sizzles in my mind: the walking, talking inferno. Kissing Haley would be a thrill ride experience.

“West?” Haley motions near her eyes. “Attention here, please?”

I am a fan of Jane Austen; so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to read this book. I thought the story was cute, and had a modern twist on Pride and Prejudice. The story flowed seamlessly from beginning to end, the pacing was steady and kept me moving right along with the story.

Eliza is a bit of a flake. She doesn't really know what she wants and is having a hard time deciding who she wants to be with. Although she is a nice character she comes off as a little silly and very self centered. Janie is much like Eliza, but she likes to dye her hair and acts rebellious. Will and Ryan are the main love interest and neither really had the swoon factor for me.

There was a love square I would call it going on throughout the story which had me confused for most of the book. There are some very touching scenes in the book which warmed me up to the story, and the trip to England was fun to read about and imagine. All in all the story was good but not really my cup of tea.

In the few years since I began reading young adult novels, I’ve taken a shotgun-blast approach when choosing what to read next. Rather than focusing on one author’s work to fully explore, I’ve tried to get my hands on as many different ones as possible. So, though I've only read one or two books by some of these authors, they wrote the books I most enjoyed within the genre, and am looking forward to reading more and more of their work. Three of them I only discovered this year while traveling to book conferences, and all three of their books (Whaley’s Noggin, Lockhart’s We Were Liars, and fellow debut author Leslye Walton’s The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender) are among my favorite books overall that I’ve read in the past couple years.

Adi Alsaid was born and raised in Mexico City, then studied at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in class, he mostly read fiction and continuously failed to fill out crossword puzzles, so it's no surprise that after graduating, he did not go into business world but rather packed up his apartment into his car and escaped to the California coastline to become a writer. When I saw this book the first thing I thought was, "Look at the pretty cover." After reading the synopsis, it sounded so interesting that I had to read it. This story was a very emotional story full of angst, love and heartache. Once I started reading I was hooked! All of the issues being dealt with in this story really surprised me. There is so much more to this story than what the synopsis leads you to believe.

From chapter Nev's voice is really interesting. As the story goes on there are several times that my heart truly breaks for Nev because of the situation she is going through. Bodie seems like the typical bad boy but he has so much more going on with him. Together they slowly open up to each other, slowly starting to heal the broken they both have.

Ex-Factor has a little bit of everything. The plot was well paced and the message Elisa Dane is putting out there with this story is a really good one. I am really happy that I got the chance to read this story! I am looking forward to the rest of the Diamond Girl series.

      I took a chance when I picked this book. I don't normally like to read these kinds of stories, but I am so glad I did! This book completely took me by surprise, in a good way! Breaking the Reins is a story that deals with a lot of very interesting and real issues such as: self-esteem, depression, domestic abuse, and substance abuse.

Breaking the Reins is fast paced and full of mystery. Beginning with the mysterious fire that killed Hannah’s grandmother and horse Hercules, bad things just seem to keep happening to Hannah’s family. There are several plot twists that had me open-mouthed and in shock. At certain times through out the novel I was holding my breath, because holy cannoli I didn’t know if Hannah was going to survive.

Ms, Haygert does a great job of creating characters that are three-dimensional. I felt that all of the characters in this novel showed personal growth by the end of the story, and I grew really attached to some of them. Hannah has an independent spirit but as the story progresses Eric little by little take her independence away. When Eric first became abusive to her I was really upset at Hannah because she kept rationalizing his aggressive behavior. By the time she finally wakes up and realizes what’s going on her situation seems impossible to get out of.

Leo plays the role of the love interest although in the beginning he is the "other guy". He is sweet, patient, kind, and a bad boy gone good. Leo is Brazilian, has a smoking hot body as well as a really sexy accent. From the beginning I found myself rooting for Leo and Hannah to get together. Although I admire Hannah’s determination to respect her relationship, man I don’t know how she held out for so long. Together Leo and Hannah are like fire and ice. The chemistry between them is crazy.

I could go on and on about how much I liked this book, but I would rather you take a chance and check it out for yourself. I didn’t rate it higher because there were times when I felt really frustrated with Hannah and her decisions. Other than that, I really enjoyed Hannah’s journey and I am so happy Ms. Haygert decided to add an epilogue. It was the perfect ending for this story.

Paige finds herself instantly elevated to tabloid celebrity status which isn’t exactly a picnic, particularly when trying to juggle her new job at Fashionista magazine, a catalog of dating disasters and a nagging doubt that she maybe she can’t conquer London after all.

When a trip back to Canada for Christmas reminds Paige why she left her old life behind, she returns to London with renewed vigor realizing that while jobs, flats and men may come and go, friends in London are forever.

        Paige Crawford is tired of playing it safe, so in an attempt to find a new and exciting life she makes a rash decision to move to London. With two suit cases full of stuff and no idea what she is doing she heads out to try and conquer London. There were several parts of this story in which I found myself laughing out loud. Paige is, as she describes herself, a redneck from Canada and doesn't have a lot of experience outside of the predictable world she is used to. Paige is a little naive and gets herself into all sorts of crazy predicaments.

The pacing of the books is fairly fast paced. The dialogue and supporting characters were really interesting and added diversity to the story. There was a scene in the beginning of the book at a club that involved a vodka bottle and a transvestite that left me thinking WTF. This is a story of Paige's quest for self discover, as she tries to find a place in this world where she fits in.

I was however a little disappointed in the lack of romance throughout the story. Other than that I thought that Paiges endless nights of champagne and botched up dates were entertaining. If you like The Devil Wears Prada and Bridget Jones Diary, than this is the book for you.

About the Author:

Growing up in Edmonton, Canada, a significant amount of Stephanie’s time was spent making up and acting out stories. She was studying to be an actress when she realized there weren’t any parts for women being written. So, Stephanie wrote herself a short screenplay just to be in it, and quickly realized that writing was her true passion. She graduated from the University of Alberta with an English and Sociology degree and she also has a Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts from Red Deer College. After a fateful trip to Mexico in 2006, Stephanie decided to move to New York City to work in film development. A year later she went back home to write My Green House, a factual TV series.
