#TheShelfieHop

Hi Swooners,

I am participating in the first ever #TheShelfieHop, hosted by Bookiemoji and MyFriendsAreFiction. It going be a one day hop where everyone posts their pictures of their book shelves and we can all visit one another’s blogs. We have a giveaway going on that went up this past Friday, which you're more than welcome to enter.

Now, let's take a look at my book shelves.
This shelf house my NA and Adult books. The mess you see is courtesy of my husband's law school books. (I will be getting him his own shelf so I can have my precious space back).
This is my Janet Evanovich collection. I managed to meet her this past Saturday and got an early copy of Tricky Twenty-Two, which she signed as well as another book.
This my Christina Lauren collection. I pretty much have ARCs of all their books, including Beautiful Beloved and Dark Wild Night (but it out on a loaned to a friend). ARCs I'm missing for them include Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Bitch.
This is my ALA books. I'm trying to pick which one I want to read and I'm slowly getting through them. This shelf also holds my little shot glass collection, my wedding guest "notebook" jar, and some Harry Potter coasters.
This shelf house my YA books. I did a big reorganization and reshuffling when I got married this past summer, so the rest of my YA books are scattered around my new apartment.
This is my Sarah J. Maas collection, along with my friend Team Rowan note.
And these two pictures are my remaining YA books that I still need to get their home for. Soon, hopefully.

That's it for me and my shelves. Don't forget to enter the giveaway and you can visit the rest of the blogs participating in the hop, some of which will be hosting a giveaway as well.

Just Couldn't Put It Down Blog Hop

Hosted by Stuck in Books

Hey  Swooners!

Nahomi and I decided to participate in this blog hop because there's always books we can't put down. And so it was hard trying to make a decision in deciding which book to give away. But here are our decisions:

 She's a tomboy. He's the boy next door…

Charlie Reynolds can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn't know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at a chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world. To cope with the stress of her new reality, Charlie takes to spending nights chatting with her neighbor Braden through the fence between their yards. As she grows to depend on their nightly Fence Chats, she realizes she's got a bigger problem than speeding tickets-she's falling for Braden. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.

Fun, original, and endearing, On the Fence is a romantic comedy about finding yourself and finding love where you least expect.

A lush and gorgeously written debut, packed with action, intrigue, and a thrilling love triangle.
Alexa Hollen is a fighter. Forced to disguise herself as a boy and serve in the king's army, Alex uses her quick wit and fierce sword-fighting skills to earn a spot on the elite prince's guard. But when a powerful sorcerer sneaks into the palace in the dead of night, even Alex, who is virtually unbeatable, can't prevent him from abducting her, her fellow guard and friend Rylan, and Prince Damian, taking them through the treacherous wilds of the jungle and deep into enemy territory.
The longer Alex is held captive with both Rylan and the prince, the more she realizes that she is not the only one who has been keeping dangerous secrets. And suddenly, after her own secret is revealed, Alex finds herself confronted with two men vying for her heart: the safe and steady Rylan, who has always cared for her, and the dark, intriguing Damian. With hidden foes lurking around every corner, is Alex strong enough to save herself and the kingdom she's sworn to protect?

May I Suggest.... Giveaway Blog Hop

Hosted by Stuck in Books

Hi Swooners!

So Nahomi and I decided join in on the blog hop fun and had a blast trying to decide what to give away. While for Nahomi was a little easier in picking, since she's been in a book hangover since finishing The Jade Series by Allie Everhart. And when I say a book hangover, I mean it. She's been mourning the end of the book. The only reason why she's not still moping is because the author, Allie, just announced that she is going to be continuing the series.

Me, on the other hand, had a bit of the trouble deciding which book I wanted to give away. I've given away some of my favorites books away in the past and I like to keep it different for each giveaway. So I decided on giving away one of my favorite read so far of this year, Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren. I loved it so much that I ended up with a new book boyfriend. Anselllll!!!

Anyways. For this giveaway, there will be one winner who gets TWO books! Both books will be e-copies. All you have to do is enter the rafflecopter down below and enjoy!

Remember, you must 13 years or older to enter.

Stuck In a Good Book Hop

Sept. 20th - 25th, 2013

Hiya Swooners.

Have you ever been sucked in by a book that has no matter what you do, you find yourself going back and reading a few more pages. Just so you can find out what happened to this character and OMG I did NOT see that coming? I know I'm not the only one sneaking in a page or two at work so don't look at me weird.

Well that's what this post/blog hop is all about. It's about that book that you just couldn't put down. A book that sucked you in and kept you glued to its pages. For me, I've read several that kept glued to it pages but not has really caught my attention as much as the Throne of Glass series. I started the book and really enjoyed it. I read the novellas and the ARC of Crown of Midnight and now I can't help but want to continue living in that world. It been weeks since I read Crown of Midnight but I still think about.

That is why for this blog hop I am giving away a copy of either Throne of Glass or Crown of Midnight. I am loving this series so much, that I want everyone to read it and so here is my chance.

Here are the rules and enter down below:
  • You must be 13 years or older
  • Contest is open to US only!
  • Winner will be notified by email and will have 48 hours to respond or else someone else will be chosen.
Now that's not all. Since this is a blog hop, you can go check out all the other blogs participating and read about what book they're currently stuck on and enter to win their prizes too! Good luck!

For the Love of Swoon Hop

Feb. 14th - Feb. 20th

Who needs a real Valentine when there are so many charming fictional swoonalicious dudes heroes to sweep you off your feet?

We want the book that brings all the swoons - the one that makes your heart flutter or race and your stomach fill with butterflies - whether that be because of a hero/heroine, a relationship, and/or the book in its entirety.

Swooners! As you can see, this blog is called Books and Swoons and I'm participating a hop that is aptly named, no? But my GOD was it hard in choosing a book that brought all the swoons. THERE ARE SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. So I decided to go back to the beginning. Go back to what got me into reading again and that would be Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

For those who haven't met Etienne St. Clair allow me to introduce you:

"French name, English accent, American school. Anna confused."

His eyes lock on mine."Anna, I promised that I will never leave you." My heart pounds in response. And Etienne knows it, because he takes my hand and holds against his chest, to show me how hard his heart is pounding too.
We are kissing like crazy. Like out lives depend on it. His tongue slips inside my mouth, gently but demanding, and it's nothing like I've ever experienced, and I suddenly understand why people describe kissing as melting because every square inch of my body dissolves into his. My fingers grip his hair, pulling him closer. My veins throb and my heart explodes. I have never wanted anyone like this before. Ever.
Anna and the French KissHe pushes me backward and we're lying down, making out in front of the children with their red balloons and the old men with their chess sets and the tourists with their laminated maps and I don't care about any of that. All I want is Etienne. The weight of his body on top of mine is extraordinary. I feel him - all of him - pressed against me, and I inhale his shaving cream, his shampoo, and the extra scent that's just...him. The most delicious smell I could ever imagine.
I want to breathe him, lick him, eat him, drink him. His lips taste like honey. His face has the slightest bit of stubble and it rubs my skin but I don't care, I don't care at all. He feels wonderful. His hands are everywhere, and it doesn't matter that his mouth is already on top of mine, I want him closer closer closer.

"You're the most incredible girl I've ever known. You're gorgeous and smart, and you make me laugh like no one else can. And I can talk to you. And I know after all this I don't deserve you, but what I'm trying to say is that I loved you.

Sigh...

The winner will get a paperback copy of Anna and the French Kiss.

Bad Boy Rehab Blog Hop

January 10 - January 17, 2013

We tried giving up Bad Boys for our New Year's Resolution...
and tried to make us go to rehab...but I said no no no.

Bad Boy (n.) person
  1. A guy who has many characteristics of a naughty, naughty boy. OMG let the drooling begin.
  2. A heartbreaker with a five o'clock shadow. Rawrrrrr!
  3. Independent and willful. Does what he wants when he wants. Never follows trends, they follow him.
  4. Someone that's not looking for trouble, but there's a serious sense of danger about him. We love danger!
Usable Note: A bad boy is a gorgeous man with MANY layers and is INSANELY irresistible to women,*raises hands*... YES PLEASE!

Hi Swooners! When I first heard about this blog hop I knew I had to join. I mean, I love me some swoony boys and if they're bad boys? Sign me up.

Now can I just say that choosing a bad boy is hard for this blog hop was hard? (twss) There are so many possibilities and I tried racking my brains in choosing one but I couldn't. So I narrowed down my choices to two and I'll be letting the winner pick their choice of book.

So I am choosing Warner from Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi OR Noah Shaw from the Mara Dyer series. Here are some quotes from both Warner and Noah that will have you fanning yourself and wondering where you can find one of them. (Or both).

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)"Because I want her. Now. Here. Everywhere. I want nothing between us. I want her clothes off and the lights on and I want to study her. I want to unzip her of this dress and take my time with every inch of her. I can't help but my need to just stare; to know her and her features: the slope of her nose, the curve of her lips, the line of her jaw. I want to run my fingertips across the soft skin of her neck and trace it all the way down. I want to feel the weight of her pressed against me, wrapped around me." - Warner, Destroy Me

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)"Fuck seventeen." His eyes and voice were defiant. "If I were to live a thousand years, I would belong to you for all of them. If we were to live a thousand lives, I would want to make you mine in each one." - Noah Shaw, The Evolution of Mara Dyer

The winner is to pick one book from either of the series. Noah or Warner. Shatter Me, Destroy Me, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer or The Evolution of Mara Dyer. Your pick.
