Yesterday, Veronica Rossi revealed the cover for her follow-up novel, Through the Ever Sky, the second in the series of Under the Never Sky.

Isn't it gorgeous? I love the colors, the design and the cute guy. Although, he is supposed to be Perry, he's just not my Perry, ya know? I pictured a more rough-hardened guy and not in leather pants. But he's cute and it came out great.

Through the Ever Sky is expected to be release on January 8, 2013.

Currently Reading - Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

At the moment I am Currently Reading Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. I've heard many great things about this novel and I can't wait to finish and share my review of it with you, swooners. I managed to get an early egalley through NetGalley and Harlequin Teen. Its expected publication is set for July 31, 2012. As soon as I'm done I'll get started on the review. The Unquiet's premise really piqued my interest and I couldn't wait to just pick it up and read. I enjoy stories where there are some sort of mental illness and the fact there was some paranormal in it as well, it just made me super excited when I got this book. See, I have a degree in Psychology and I work in the mental health field, so I have some background information on Bipolar disorder. I see people coming in to the office on a daily basis but I have no idea what it really like for someone living with that illness that it not off a textbook.

I totally enjoyed getting to know Rinn's character. She is this sarcastic, stubborn girl with a lot of sass but who is also vulnerable and distant because she is Bipolar. She's aware that she needs to take her medications but she also misses the 'high' she used to experienced when not on them. However, she is trying to keep her promise in taking them as a promise for her parent. When we first meet Rinn, my first thought was "Oh no. Don't tell me she's a bratty teenager with an attitude and complaining about not getting her way and etc...." But after that initial meeting, I was curious because we were introduced to Rinn, Rinn's mom Monica, Millie and Nate. Rinn and Nate were so cute in the first meeting and exchanging some funny quips about Rinn being a California girl and Nate being a farm boy.

One Moment is about a girl named Maggie who has a group of five friends and in one of the weekend before the end her junior year, one of them dies.The problem is that it was Maggie's boyfriend, Joey, who died, and she was with him during his last moments. She can't remember what happened during those moments Joey was alive and she struggles throughout the novel in trying to bring those memories back.

Right after Joey's death Maggie tries to remember those missing moments but once she learns that Joey may have been hiding secrets from her, it seems like she then tried to avoid remembering them. However, I can't judge her too harshly since I cannot even imagine going through that kind of trauma and I would want to avoid it myself. Especially once she realizes that the Joey she knew may not have been who he really was. My curiosity was piqued and I wanted to know where Joey had gone after dropping everyone home after the party on Saturday night.

It that time of the week again. This week, I went to Barnes and Noble with a friend since she wanted to pick up some books for herself. I tagged along since I wanted to get a book for my mom and I figured I could splurge on a book for myself too. 

I walked out with three books myself and one for my mother. Yea, I know. I'm weak. 

I have an actual picture this time:

Gone, Gone, Gone by Hannah Moskowitz: "It's a year after 9/11. Sniper shootings throughout the D.C. area have everyone on edge and trying to make sense of these random acts of violence. Saving Vincent Plum Bail Bonds means Stephanie can keep being a bounty hunter. In Trenton, this involves hunting down a man wanted for polygamy, a turnpike toilet paper bandit, and a drug dealer with a pet alligator named Mr. Jingles.

GOOD LUCK:

The job of a bounty hunter comes with perks in the guise of Trenton's hottest cop, Joe Morelli, and the dark and dangerous security expert, Ranger. With any luck at all, Uncle Pip's lucky bottle will have Stephanie getting lucky -- the only questions is...with whom?

Cynthia Hand shared the cover of Boundless with us today. It the third and last book of the trilogy. And OMG, so excited for it. It's tentative release date is set for January 22, 2013.

     I started blogging back in late March of this year but I didn't get into the habit of blogging until May.

2. Why did you start blogging?

     I decided to start my own blog because it was something I had been thinking about for a while but I was too scare to take the plunge. I'd been reading so much lately that I wanted to keep track of the books I've read. Also, I figured it would be fun =)

3. Who is your favorite author?

     I don't really have a favorite author! It just too hard to narrow it down at this point, hehe. I have authors that I truly love the way they write and they are: Cynthia Hand, Tahereh Mafi, J.K. Rowling and Stephanie Perkins.

4. What is your favorite book?

     Guh, another hard question. Honestly, this changes by the day. And it the same like in the previous answer. I have several favorites that I thoroughly enjoy, but no real favorite favorite.

     I guess if you can count the books I received from NetGalley ARCs, I do, but not really.

6. What are you currently reading?

     The Unquiet by Jeannine Garsee.

     Too many. But in order to keep myself sane, I try to organize myself by writing down my next 10 books to-read at a time.

     I have this little hammock-style chair in my backyard that I love. It awesome for reading on a nice, breezy day. It just sucks with all those mosquitoes in the summer.

This week was a small haul as well. I got one book from Harlequin Teen/NetGalley.

Responsible Jenn is still in control so no more books until I get through the reviews I have on the back burner. But I am super excited about starting this novel. This novel has been generating a lot of buzz and I can't wait to see what it is all about.

     Well, it took 5 books but I finally got the majority of my questions answered. And boy, it was one hell of a ride. I was right up to the last 10% of the book and I was still worried about what was happening and what the outcome was going to be. Not every questions was answered, but the ending was open to all sort of possibilitiies that left the reader, at least me, satisfied and in giving each character their own ending.

     Now, I like to maintain a spoiler-free zone in this blog so I won't say anything that will give too much away (but I will later on) but HOLY CRAP I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT. You know, that part towards the end? In the abbey? Yea. HOLY CRAP. I was so surprised, heck I'm still surprised and I finished the book over a week ago. But yes. WOW.

     I wanted to bookmark some of the passages from the novel on my Nook that I really enjoyed and to share it with you guys but I basically ended up highlighting and bookmarking the whole book. Ok, that a slight exaggeration (a little).
