Quotes (#128)

Hi Swooners!

I had a very laid back weekend. I finished 3 books, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I was reading it for the first time since I read it almost five years ago. I read it aloud to my husband since he hasn't read it and has only seen the movies. I've taken it upon myself to reading it to him and I love being able to experience the HP world with him. We got married less than three months ago so it been fun trying to do things together. Of course, I find myself wanting to do the accents and funny voices as I read but I keep stopping myself. But it the wonderful world that J.K. Rowling created of Harry Potter, so I can't help but just get in the story so much that I forget I'm reading it to someone and just let the story overtake me.

Now, enough about me. Since I'm in the Harry Potter zone (but really, it been too long since I've been obsessed with it) I thought I share some quotes from the Sorcerer's Stone.

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

“I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could all have been killed - or worse, expelled. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to bed.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

"One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books." - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

"Harry - yer a wizard.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

“Harry was speechless. Hermione was the last person to do anything against the rules, and here she was pretending she had, to get them out of trouble. It was as if Snape had started handing out sweets.” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

“To Harry Potter — the boy who lived!” - J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

That's it for me today. I can't wait to start Chamber of Secrets next and I'll be keeping you guys updated. Have a great week!
